What does the Clean Bleed® Mat bring to your everyday training?

Frequently asked questions about the Clean Bleed® Mat

Does the Clean Bleed® Mat also work with simulators from other manufacturers?

Yes. The Clean Bleed® Mat works with any brand and can be used with any training model, any practice manikin, and with simulated participants.

How far can the bleeding be adjusted?

The flow rate is adjustable from 50 to 600 ml per minute. That covers minor peripheral bleeding just as well as a massive arterial bleed.

How is the blood loss measured?

The inner mat is removed and weighed. This lets your learners practise quantitative blood loss measurement and compare their earlier estimate directly with the measured value.

Is the simulated blood gentle on the skin and reusable?

Yes. The fluid contains an EU-approved preservative compliant with the Cosmetics Regulation and is suitable for prolonged skin contact. The two-way pump returns it so that it can be used again.

How long does it take to set up the Clean Bleed® Mat?

About two minutes. The system is deliberately designed so that it can be set up between two training runs without tools.

Can I use the Clean Bleed® Mat outdoors?

Yes, the mat is designed for use indoors and outdoors – for example during exercises with emergency medical services and the fire service.
